Occupation: Information collector at the Daily Days
Rachel runs around the U.S. collecting information for her employer, Daily Days. She takes trains to get to her destination, but never pays for a ticket--hence ticketlessrider. Her father worked for a train company, and therefore she has a great love and knowledge for the railroad. However, since the company placed all the blame for an accident on her father, she also has a great hatred for the companies. Therefore, she never pays for her train rides.
At first glance she seems like a stoic, even cold girl, but she's actually kind and has a strong sense of justice. From her interactions with Nicholas and her behavior around Turner on the Flying Pussyfoot, she could be said to have a bit of a short temper. It is possible that she's so distant from people because she's never in one place and always moving around. She doesn't really have the time to get to know anyone in person--although she may have their background memorized somewhere. She does however, seem to not get along too well with Nicholas, a co-worker at Daily Days.
